The Integrative Counselling Approach
Every client is a unique individual and different approaches resonate better with different people.
For this reason I studied the integrative approach to counselling which incorporates all the counselling modalities.
Below are some of the core approaches I use in my work:
Person Centred Approach
Therapeutic work builds from a strong foundation which is a safe, non-judgemental and supportive space in which clients can find ways to change.
Psychodynamic Approach
Outside of most of our awareness are patterns of behaviour that are influenced by past experiences and early relationships. Most counselling benefits from at least some exploration around earlier life experiences.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
CBT offers a range of working tools to change unhelpful behaviours and can benefit clients enormously. CBT looks at the connection between behaviours thoughts and feeling, and works on changing behaviours in a simple structured way.

Testimonials
"Once I recognised a pattern of destructive behaviour that had always been in my life, with Beverley's help I made some big changes in the relationship's around me. The results happened very quickly and I continue to work to improve them".

'I honestly can't recommend Bev enough. From the start I felt relaxed and at ease. Bev is an amazing listener, warm kind and incredibly insightful. Our sessions really helped me understand and work through things".
AD - 48 year old female
"I approached Bev for counselling support to help me in a period of major life changes and Bev has worked with me over several months in ways that have surpassed my expectations; Bev is exceptional in her calm, grounded, empathetic approach, enabling a relationship of great trust and understanding. We have worked together on my concerns, with Bev sharing her skills and insight, helping me to better understand my own underlying patterns of thoughts and behaviour. We have then worked together in practical ways to reduce anxieties and gently change for the better some my ways of thinking about the changes ahead. There have been challenging times along the way, but mostly a shared and constructive shared working for which I am hugely grateful to Bev.
